Question. "What do you need to find the part I need"
Answer. "When contacting us please have the Model number & the Make (not serial number) at hand."
Question. "Why is it such a problem obtaining a part for my equipment?"
Answer. "A large amount of Makes are not made by the companies who's name is on the front, i.e. The make Goodman's is a badge name used by suppliers like Comet, Argos.
Question. "Why are some parts so expensive?"
Answer. "If a part is designated by the manufacturer as a safety item, then only that specification part can be supplied. This normally means a genuine part from the manufacturer, with no alternative available."
Question - I was told that if the Stand-by light is lit on my unit, then the mains switch must be ok. Is this correct.
Answer - Probably, the electricity has already passed through the mains contacts in the switch. However some units use extra contacts on the switch for start-up and it could be those that are faulty.
