Symptom/Fault

Cure

Arching inside the cover. Magnetron, Transformer, Loose terminals.
Blower/Fan motor slow. Loose terminals, Build up up grime, Shorted coils.
Burning smell. Transformer, Magnetron, Plastic covers.
Gets too hot in convection mode. Thermistor.
Shock from oven case. Static from carpets, Poor earth connections.
Intermittently blowing fuse. Door micro switches, Poor connections.
Blows fuse when the door is opened or cook button pressed. Door interlock switches.
Display as fast countdown. Leaky triac on control pcb.
Will not stop cooking. Triac on control pcb.
Interference to radio tv, etc. Mains filter, Magnetron.
Intermittent or slow cooking. Magnetron, Transformer, Triac, Control pcb.
Cuts out after about 10 mins. Magnetron.
Door cracked or melted. Magnetron.
